'I'd Buy That...As a Tee!' Vol 11 by Jeff Bond

Feels like Summer..... and I could use a few new unique t-shirts to really make a statement without saying a word. A statement like "I'm a geek that doesn't take much of anything seriously...I'm approachable and easily abused."

Here's some of the t-shirts I have my eye on to do just the trick but, there's only one problem....they aren't for sale yet! Please click the links below to the Threadless.com (my favoritest and most user friendly t-shirt contribution site) voting pages for each and give these beauties '5' ratings so I can throw 'em on my charge card one day.

It looks like Threadless just closed it's Summer Challenge but, there's quite a few unique designs with some time left on their voting clocks.

'Super Maui O' covers all the bases on a vacation themed plumber's holiday. Check out Starman's one-piece bathing suit...and Bullet Bill hanging ten.

I'm pretty sure there's no plausible science behind 'Surf to the Future'...but I like the design.

The evil Shredder has gotten into the warm weather fun in 'Turtle Trap'...."get 'em while they're young," I always say. ;)

...and speaking of traps, 'Captured' has the reds right where the green troops want 'em! I MUST have this T-Shirt. I MUST!!!

'Summer War' stirs up the nostalgia of a time inwhich all things could be settled with a full water pistol.

I'd most likely NEVER where these next two designs but, I LOVE their concepts and they gave me a chuckle.

First up, 'Bloodnade' serves up some human for a change.

...and 'Summer Surprise' draws back the trenchcoat to reveal the sun's naughty truth.

'Siren's Song' feels like summer with this delicious take on a famous 'Little Mermaid' or one bearing it's teeth in the latest installment of 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. Sexy-ass Fish!

Finally, who says Sith have no fun? 'Darth Summer' got Vader all decked out for the heatwave.

Vampires vs. Terrorists?

Just cause we got Osama, doesn't mean there ain't more bad guys that need taking care of.

A vampire in the employ of the U.S. government taking care of the jobs no one else can?...why not.

Crap...why did I get the see through lid. Why!?

OK, maybe not that great looking but it piqued my interest because it has a few people in it who I really dig. Schlocktackular genre actors like Lance Henricksen and Brad Dourif, playing the villain apparently who is some some sort of Sheik...

Please don't tell my m-m-m-m-m-Mother!

...sporting a full-on brown face no less. And of course as The President of the United States, Christoper Lambert......right.

Ok.....this guy I really do need to see a birth certificate

The guy who plays the vamp, Michael Bailey Smith, has a couple of cool nerd credits. Namely Super Freddy in Nightmare on Elm St. 5, and Ben Grimm in the infamous Roger Corman Fantastic Four. Nice!

A little further research reveals this is actually based on a short film by the same Director and much of the cast from 2002. Pretty cool that they managed to get it made on a larger scale.

2 Different Links To The Zelda Franchise.... See What I Did There?

Because I used the word Link in the title of a post about Zelda.... get it? I am so witty. Anywho, here is a piece of Fan Art and a video featuring the Zelda characters that is sure to scratch the itch you may have waiting for a new Zelda adventure worthy of this storied franchise.

First up, we got 'The Final Boss' by deviant artist Tsaoshin. It features a treu to scale look at just how much the odds were stacked against Link when he defeated Gannon on Death Mountain back in the day. That's one strong ass triforce!!!

I only have one beef: I see Links sword and a triforce, but where are the arrows that you need to kill Gannon? If you went against him without them, you were doomed to fail and couldn't beat him, right???

Next up, here is a "Link To The Future", a fan made video that does an excellent job of mixing up the Zelda franchise and Back To The Future. This one is excellent. See for yourself.

How great was that? Doc Brown: "You gotta come back with me" Link: "Wait, what... I just got here!". Very well done. Great job guys. Hope these helped you gte your Hyrule fix.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance by Dra90N Boi & Ham the Ruler Overall

Check out this really cool two piece art project from deviant artists Dra90N Boi and Ham the Ruler Overall. They encompass all the gang from Marvel Ultimate Alliance fighting the always dreadful Galactus. First Dra90N Boi created this sketch of the overall characters in black and white:

Then Ham stepped up to the plate and digitally colored the drawing using Photoshop. He did this awesome rendition of the Marvel characters some sweet justice:

Great job fellas... keep the art coming!!!

The Wolfman's Claws by Francesco Francavilla

This is a really cool faux movie poster from Francesco Francavilla and the gang over at Comic Twart. The theme this week is Wolfman mashups, so make sure you check 'em out!

Harry & The Gang...Through the Years

I have been a huge fan of both the Harry Potter book and movie series since the very beginning. Like it or not, JK Rowling's extensive 7 book series will go down in history as one of the most epic series ever written. She is right up there with Tolkien and C.S. Lewis as having crafted an amazing epic adventure surrounding Harry and his pals Hermione & Ron. But reality is that its been 10 years and these kids have grown up right in front of our eyes. This has never really happened before, as they were picked at the perfect age to grow at the same rate as their character counterparts do in the book. Need proof on how much they have grown? Check out this well crafted fan video, "Through the Pensive":

Wow. It's amazing how far they have come. Here are the words of Genrocks, the creator of the vid:

Over the years, the Harry Potter series has had a very special place in my heart. With the final film coming out in 50 days, I thought it would be a good time to look back at the journey we've taken with the film versions of JK Rowling's unforgettable characters. A retrospective spanning all eight films, this tells the story of the bravery of children, the folly of the powerful, and the overriding force of love.

Well said. The last installment of the franchise, The Deathly Hallows pt. 2, opens up on July 15.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Episode 8 - Scorpion & Sub Zero Pt. 2

So here is part 2 of the coolest video there has been in this webseries. Everyone knows that the Mortal Kombat franchise goes as their ninjas go, so it's nice to see the masked men geting some shine. Thanks to my man Dave over at Exophrine for tipping me off on the video being posted. Here you go.

So what do you think? Is this the best web series ever? Tell us your thoughts in the comment section below.
