Can Anyone REALLY Understand The Actors On True Detective?

I have been watching HBO's newest addition to it's massive show arsenal True Detective with baited breath. I am literally dying every week to see where it will go. The show is about to wrap up its 8th and final episode of its inaugural season and has been getting rave reviews... despite the fact that hardly anybody can make out what the hell the actors are even saying! I am not trying to knock Matthew McConaughey or Woody Harrellson... they have been tasked with a very wordy script and a seriously strong set of southern accents. The confusing story line and all the misdirection and mystery don't help much either. So Community's Joe Rash and Joel McHale have decided to create a fake two minute trailer to illustrate just how tough it is to understand ole Rust and Marty. This pretty much sums up the whole show in two short minutes. Can't wait to see how it all shakes out... but for now, enjoy this very funny clip...

Kermit & Walter Pop Shit About Jason Segel...

Earlier this week Jason Segel made some comments where he distanced himself from particpating in another Muppet movie so quickly. He cited his love for the Muppets but the need to get involved in other things. Usually something like this would just garner an "aw man" type response from others involved in the film. But not the Muppets... if you didn't already know, they are kind of outspoken. Kermit & Walter were recently interviewed by MTV, and they lobbed jokes about Segel's height and how he discovered Walter. It was all in good fun, but Kermit's deadpan is just amazing. Is there a character in books/movies/comics world that embodies the "I just don't give a fuck" attitude more then James Bond? This guy truly doesn't care about anything, unless it comes in a stem glass or has a pair of tits. He has constantly rebuked his own commanding officers, destroyed hundreds of cities across the globe with impunity, killed people by the dozens in each film, and banged any broad with two legs and a ridiculous name in EVERY single incarnation we see him. A Very Merry Gauntlet

This video is sure to tickle the funnybone of anybody who considered themselves a gamer back in the 80's. If you spent anytime in a gameroom surrounded by coin operated video games, at some point you found yourself over at the Gauntlet machine. What was so attractive about this wonderful game? Well, for starters you could play with three of your friends. That meant four of you on the game at once... You had 4 very different characters to chose from as well. The nimble elf archer, the powerful but slow warrior, the balanced but blah valkyrie  and the plodding magic using wizard. Each character had it's own strengths and weaknesses, and I remember many an argument waiting for a specific spot at the machine. This brings us to today's video. The Man In Black Has A Name & It's....

I am so sorry that it took so long for me to post this Lost video, but I got sidetracked earlier in the week and completely forgot. Apparently Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse had some fun hijinks plan for the Lost: One Year Later panel at Comic Con. Continue after the jump for the rest of the hysterical panel.

Cuse came in dressed as a Stormtrooper, Lindelof as a Dharma Iniative member (point Cuse). Lindelof pleaded with Cuse to finally show the 'uneditted & unaired' scene from the Season 1 finale that would finally prove that they hadn't been making it up all along. Cuse refused saying it would "ruin the integrity of the show". Lindelof answered with a snark "Since when did you care about the integrity of the show?" (point Lindelof). The agreed to show the clip, and the rest is Re-written Lost history. Watch for yourself and prepared to have all your questions answered:



Barry? Barry? That's hysterical. Well done. A great reward for the people who waited to hear Cuse & Lindelof talk about a show they loved. Also, great job by all involved in getting this one on the 'Net for all of us who couldn't get out to San Diego. And a relly big shout out to Titus Welliver & Mark Pelligrino (Jacob & Blackie) for shooting this clip a few weeks ago as a treat for the fans. Very fun.... God I miss Lost. It's OK Jeff... something will come along.

I could have done with even more crazy violence on children though. I mean if you're gonna go for it, go for it! It's worth watching just to watch Roddy attempt to run in that last part.

I still think Piper is totally entertaining and charismatic. What I wouldn't give to see a buddy cop movie with him and Gary Busey.

Field Of Dreams 2: The NFL Lockout Edition

This video has apparently been out for about a week, but I just saw it on ESPN this morning and it cracked me up. It features Taylor Lautner of Twilight fame as a second coming of Kevin Costner's Field Of Dreams character. He builds a football field in the middle of Iowa and all of the sudden locked out NFL superstars start showing up. Hijinks ensues.... very funny stuff. I love Ray Lewis tackling the shit out of everyone. Much better then his old practice of murdering people during Super Bowl weekend. You gotta love the cameos from vets such as Ray Liotta (who was in the real Field Of Dreams) and Dennis Haysbert as well... and Marielle Jaffe can get it!!!! Look for the special cameo at the end. I am a huge fan of The Lonely Island. Andy Samberg may be the most recognizable of the three, but Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer help him make up the this comedy threesome that always put a smile on my face with their ridiculous songs. I really liked their first album Incredibad, but they have truly outdone themselves with their new one, Turtleneck and Chain. They All Star collaborations that these guys pull off are absolutely astounding (holy alliteration Batman... I didn't even mean that!). These are my two favorite from the new album:


First up, a rap/ballad featuring Michael Bolton entitled Captain Jack (I can't believe I just wrote that):



Then we got 'Shy Ronnie' which features Rhianna... another head-scratching collabo that works so well!!! I love this one:

Ferris Bueller: 25 Years Later!!!

There has been some buzz around the net that there is a sequel in the works for one of the greatest teenage movies ever, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The John Hughes classic should never be touched and must avoid the remake/sequel trend that we are going through right now. I really don't want to see a 50 year old Inspector Gadg... er, I mean Matthew Broderick, running around getting into mischief. That magic can't be duplicated it again.


With that being said, this skit from comedy troupe Sidecar Comedy shows us exactly what a day in the life of Mr. Bueller would be like 25 years since his reign over Chicago. This is a much more realistic look at what he would probably be going through. Pretty funny stuff:
