Ben Affleck On The Internet Criticism Of Being The New Batman - "I Handle Shit..."
For a long time I was one of the dissenting internet trolls who constantly questioned casting decisions. The turning point for me was The Dark Knight... I couldn't believe that they cast Heath Ledger as the Joker, and then he proceeded to kill. So after that I decided to ease off on the critiques till AFTER someone actually performs in a movie and sucks. I have stuck by that mantra for a while... an honestly, things have not stopped on the Internet critiques but they have been much slower since Ledger-gate. Up until last month, when Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in Batman vs Superman. Then the Internet hatred exploded in a way I have not seen in quite a long time. It was epic. Even among my Facebook friends... nobody thinks that Big Ben could be the Dark Knight. But I believe. I truly do. So everyone has been waiting to hear what Affleck himself had to say about the casting and the fallout. And that came to an end last night after Ben appeared on Jimmy Fallon and gave us a glimpse into what its like to be the most hated man on the Internet. Pretty fantastic reaction, if you ask me. Check out the full clip after the jump...

Samuel L.Jackson... I Love You Man!!!!!
Samuel L. Jackson has solidified himself as one of the busiest and coolest actors of a generation. he is 64 years old and has played everything from a Jedi Master to the greasiest haired hitman in the history of cinema. He is also General Nick Fury: the commanding officer of S.H.I.E.L.D., real life comic book villain Mr. Glass, and the guy who found them MOTHERFUCKING SNAKES ON THAT MOTHERFUCKING PLANE!!!! He has worn countless hairpieces & wigs, put on numerous accents, and made interrogation an artform while sprinkling in a bit of geography & religion into his line of questioning. The guy even had his own viral video reading a children's book (Go The Fuck To sleep... its great!)... so to say he could do pretty much anything is an understatement. But his role as house slave Stephen in Django Unchained may be his best yet. If it was up to me, this role would be the one that gets him the supporting actor statuette. He is uncompromising, gives his favorite director Quentin Tarantino the best performance of his career, and isn't afraid to defend the integrity of the movie itself. QT has never been afraid of using the word 'Nigger' in his movies, and when doing a press junket with Jake the Movie Guy from Houston's Fox Affliate Samuel l decided to get the lily white reporter to say the word himself. If you want to ask a question about the N word, you are going to have to say the N word yourself. The results are borderline 'Brett's Interrogation' from Pulp Fiction, and it just goes to show you how cool Samuel L is and how deeply he believes in his work. Check the full junket out after the jump (it's 17 minutes long), or just jump to the 13:55 mark to get right to Mr. Jackson's comments. You the man Sam... now do that Gator dance and smoke that TV!!!!!! (If you get that Samuel L reference then you are my people)

In Other News, Malcolm McDowell Just Don't Give A F@#K...
Malcolm McDowell is one of my favorite actors. He is one of those guys that has always caught my eye in every film he is in. I first remember seeing him in Time After Time, and then as a teen I discovered him in A Clockwork Orange & Caligula. And more recently I loved him in the Rob Zombie Halloween films as well as Gangster #1, which is one of the greatest gangster films ever made. I always loved Mr. McDowell, because the dude just brings it in every film.... but he also old now, and that means he just doesn't give a fuck about speaking candidly anymore! When people get old, they just seem to care less and less about being politically correct and what other people care about. While he sat down at the Hero Complex Film Festival with an LA Times writer at the 40th Anniversary screening for A Clockwork Orange for 15 minutes he went on to: Tell a story about Peter Sellers doing dope, talk about how he was unimpressed with Kubrick's genius, bashed The Avengers and other modern action movies, abused the Star Trek franchise and said just how much of favor he did Trekkies by killing Captain Kirk, abused Professor X's life, meeting Gene Kelly and just how fun the rape scene to Singing In The Rain was, and lamented the fact that he will never watch A Clockwork Orange again. All that in 15 minutes!!! I really love old people for the fact that they give way less than a fuck... and they are not afraid to tell you about it! Great interview all around. Daniele Rizzo Is The Greatest Press Junket Reporter Of All Time... Just Look & See For Yourself!!!
Press Junkets are organized interview events where a large contingent of the people involved in making the movie (actors, actresses, directors, producers, etc ) meet with groups of press in a single location. This helps with coordinating promotional interviews with multiple press organizations, especially when in foreign countries. At these press junkets reporters must do something to stand out amongst the throngs of people lobbing similiar questions at these casts... Enter Daniele Rizzo, a reporter from Germany. Daniele involves costumes & questions that often leave his interview subjects laughing hysterically and loving every second of the time they spend with him. This guy is out of control... and I mean that in the best way possible. Click here to go to his Youtube channel to see all of his interviews, but click after the jump to see some of my faves involving the cast of The Avengers, Sacha Baron Cohen, the cast of Chronicle, and Barry Sonnenfeld....

Kermit & Walter Pop Shit About Jason Segel...
Earlier this week Jason Segel made some comments where he distanced himself from particpating in another Muppet movie so quickly. He cited his love for the Muppets but the need to get involved in other things. Usually something like this would just garner an "aw man" type response from others involved in the film. But not the Muppets... if you didn't already know, they are kind of outspoken. Kermit & Walter were recently interviewed by MTV, and they lobbed jokes about Segel's height and how he discovered Walter. It was all in good fun, but Kermit's deadpan is just amazing. A funny short clip, especially for all you Muppet enthusiasts out there (I'm looking at you Jedi Rob & Jeffy). Enjoy the clip after the jump...

Wu Tang Wednesday: The Challenges Of Interviewing Old Dirty Bastard
This is an amazing behind the scenes clip of Old Dirty Bastard being interviewed by MTV's John Norris... better yet, this shows the challenges that a guy like Norris must have faced trying to compile two minutes of usable material while trying to interview a maniac like ODB. "I remember the nigga that was riding the bike in the sky..." "Keep it good kids... keep it good, cause you know I'm gonna love you forever!" Wow... unreal. This man was truly a complete nutjob. He was a musical genius, and I appreciate his work even more when you realize he did all of that despite of his craziness. I miss ODB. He was taken far to soon. Enjoy this interview and remember the good times. Ason Jones, you my man for life!!!!

Damn Alex... Your All Grows Up Now!!!!!
Thanks to the IndieWire blog Thompson On Hollywood and my boy Jeff Bond I got this wonderful 7 minute clip that features Malcolm McDowell talking about A Clockwork Orange. It's the 40th anniversary of the film and he is making the rounds discussing his role as the villainous Alex DeLarge. He also talk Kubrick... lots of Kubrick. That can never be a bad thing, and considering he is my favorite director I was paying very close attention for the full 7 minutes. Hope you enjoy one of the great actors of the last 40 years talking up a great film. And for all you people who have never seen A Clockwork Orange... WTF are you waiting for!!!!
