The Numbers Station: Cusack Is A Boss!

The Number Station automatically appeals to me in two ways. One, it tackles a subject area similar to my favorite story line on 'Lost', the one about the miraculous bunker/hatch that Locke found and Desmond eventually emerged from. That is the place that 'The Numbers' are broadcast from. But the other reason is because John Cusack is back as a kick ass government agent... and I love me some Cusack, especially when he is acting like such a bad ass. Not to mention the lovely Malin Akerman, who is gorgeous and really starting to come into her own as an actress. I know she can kick some major ass as well based on her role in Watchman, and I know that she ain't afraid to show off her sexy body thanks to Watchman as well (Nite Owl tore that pussy up in the Owl Plane!). So a thriller that has our two heroes locked in a bunker, trying to keep it safe... yeah, there is gonna be a sexy scene in this one!!! Check out the first trailer after the jump....

Lost: The Role Playing Game

If you grew up in the 80s then chances are you were a fan of Role Playing Games, or RPGs for short. the most popular of these games was definitely Dungeons and Dragons, but there were literally thousands of these games on the market with subject areas from everything from war to super heroes (the Marvel Comics & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles RPGs was my favorites of all time). The basic premise was simple: you created a character by rolling dice to get you certain attributes (strength, agility, etc) and then your character was put through an adventure by someone leading the game (a Dungeon Master in D & D). There could be multiple players and anytime you encountered a task you would role dice to determine the outcome. The game was played entirely in your mind, and it was loads of fun. Then with invention of better gaming systems like NES and Genesis we saw the rise of video game RPGs. Final Fantasy comes to mind, and later games like Knights of the Old Republic and Fable. The basic elements of the original RPGs were there, but instead of using your imagination it was right their on your Television for you to see. Since the guys over at College Humor are a bunch of geeks, they thought it could be cool to imagine what an RPG that was set on Lost Island would be like. The following video is great as usual, cause the College Humor guys rarely disappoint. Check out the video after the jump for a trip back to the good old days of RPGs, albeit with plot holes, unexplained character threads and polar bears aplenty!

1) Sean Hartter, my good friend and artist extraordinaire, has done a pretty cool interview with the blog 13 Shots of Grit where he discusses all sorts of fun things like what inspires him and his art projects, what Tv shows & movies he digs, and even drops us here at CCD a humble shout out. We have gone worldwide baby (the blog is European...lol). Head over there and leave some supportive comments for my boy...

2) Terry Richardson is a scumbag sleezeball celebrity photographer, but he is our favorite scumbag sleezeball celebrity photographer... he is back with another photospread of candid shots, this time taking on Lady Gaga. Thanks to The Superficial for keeping up on the lowlifes of Hollywood...

3) And speaking of Terry Richardson.... Never forget... Never forget!!!! Thank me later guys...

4) With the NFL & College football season ready to kick off and Baseball season winding down, you need to get over to Cool Fan Jerseys to  meet all your authentic sport jersey needs for relatively cheap prices. I have bought from the site, trust me you won't be disappointed!!!

5) In other get fresh clothing news, Nike & Jordan Brand are offering some awesome new customizable models of sneakers on the Nike ID website. You can make your own one of a kind pair of sneakers, including popular models like the Spiz'ike's, Jordan 1's, High Top Dunks, and Air Max 90s. So This Is What Matthew Fox Has Been Doing Since 'Lost' Ended...

Matthew Fox played the lead, Dr. Jack Shepard, on the hit TV show Lost. Some of his former cast mates have been busy (George Garcia, Michael Emerson, Daniel Dae Kim) with new projects, but others (Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway, Naveen Andrews and Matt himself) have been quite low profile. But it seems like Fox is about to hit the big screen again... and boy is he making an impact!!! Click after the jump to see Fox in his newest project, the new James Patterson adaption 'I, Alex Cross'...

The newest project in the Cross series will feature Tyler Perry in the role of Alex Cross, made famous by Morgan Freeman in "Kiss The Girls" & "Along Came A Spider". I am not crazy about trading Freeman for Perry (Freeman is the man!) but I am sure he will do a good job. The Alex Cross books are amazing and Patterson has created such an awesome character, so I am just glad to see it getting another shot in the future.

As for Fox's role in this one, well he is playing the bad guy. And he is channeling his very best Robert Deniro/Cape Fear to do so, playing the muscle ripped/heavily tattooed villain in the movie. Check out the first pictures of him in the creepiest role we have seen him yet:

Yup, I am freaked out! Look for the movie October 26th. Thanks to /Film for the pics.
