"It's The Final Countdown..." - Arrested Development Season 4 Goes Live in 3,2,1...

I think I have been doing a pretty good job by my standards of not over-hyping the arrival of Season 4 of Arrested Development on Netflix. No one is more excited than me, and I have just finished a marathon re-watch of the shows 3 seasons as well as celebrated with Tommy Lombardozzi & Cousin Stevie in our first annual "Arrested Development Luncheon" complete with chocolate covered bananas and seals wearing ties (OK, maybe there were no seals in ties... but who cares really?). So now that we are only three days away from the shows new season going live on May 26th, I think it may be time to celebrate just how excited I really am. I am so excited, I think I just Blue myself (hahaha... inside jokes abound). So lets just get to the meat and potatoes of it all... here is the Season 4 extended trailer! Complete with Buster's hook hand, Pop Pop's hi jinks  George Michael's awkwardness, martial bliss between Lindsay and Tobias, Gob performing an illusion in a toga, Lucille being psychologically terrifying, and Michael just being Michael aka taking everyone's bullshit and cleaning it up!!!! I can't wait.... It's The Final Countdown!!!!!!!!! Check out the full season 4 trailer after the jump.

Over A Dozen New Posters For The New Season Of 'Arrested Development' Highlight Past Great Gags From The Show....

'

I am currently re-watching Arrested Development on Netflix in preperation of the upcoming season 4 of the show that will be premiering on May 26th. Any fan of the show knows that it is a plethora of wink wink moments and one liners that a true fan of the show giggles at every time someone brings it up. The whole crux of the humor on the show hinge on these moments, objects, and situations.... and it is truly a inside joke-fest for all those in on the situation. Given the fact that the whole purpose of Season 4 is to set up the feature length film for the show, I am sure we are going to be treated to many more of these inside jokes. But in order to promote the new show, they are breaking out the old gags to try an hook the former audience back in for one last hurrah. Any fan of the show will love these awesome posters. Let's hope we get plenty more opportunities for posters like these via season 4. Check out the whole gallery of posters after the jump...

Gadgets & Gizmos: An Art Show @ Bottleneck Galleries, Brooklyn

Bottleneck Galleries is one of the first galleries to be opened in NY that primarily focuses on pop culture themed art shows. The gang over there has an excellent eye for cool pieces, a ton of great ideas for show possibilities, and a work ethic that keeps the exhibits opening soon after one closes. Hot of the finale of the 'Alternate Endings' show comes 'Gizmos & Gadgets', an art show that focuses on the machines & technology of some of your favorite movies of all time. Ripley's front loader mech suit from Alien? Yup. Gob's Segeway from Arrested Development? Yup. Numerous Batman gadgets from his utility belt? Most definitely. Inspector Gadgets whole body, diagrammed X-Ray style? Oh yeah! These are just a few of the wacky and wild illustrations you will find in the collection for this show. The show opened  on January 18th and runs through February 3rd, so try to get yourself down there and buy one of these cool pieces of art. The prices for the last show were relatively affordable, so hopefully you can find something in your price range to bring home and support local artists at the same time! Check out their website by clicking here for more info on all that is going on at Bottleneck and click after the jump for a few preview piecs of what to expect in the show....

Arrested Development Cast: Reunited!!!!!

Arrested Development is one of the best shows that not a lot of people have ever seen. It is madness to me that more people haven't watched this amazing show, but truth is if the show had more viewers then it would have never left the air in the first place. But with a rebirth on the horizon (albeit via Netflix Instant Streaming), Entertainment Weekly decided to include the cast in its annual Reunion Issue. This issue is one of my faves of the year because they reunite classic casts of TV shows & movies that we all love. But this is one of the first times a cast has been included and the show is still going to add new episodes. Check out the spread after the jump and look out for the new episodes of Arrested Development in 2013....

'I'd Buy That...As a Tee!' Vol 35

Always on the look out for inspiring art... emblazoned across the chest of humanity. Here's some of the t-shirts I have my eye on to do just the trick but, there's only one problem....they aren't for sale yet! Please click each of the links below to the Threadless.com voting pages and give these beauties '5' ratings so I can throw 'em on my charge card one day.

**Please click READ MORE for tee-licious tees!**

'O Captain, My Captain' or shall I says Captains...all 15 of 'em...in a cute 'Terrence & Philip' sort of style. Can you name 'em all? Captain Hook...Captain Planet......Captain Crunch.............

Looks like our favorite intergalactic Wookie gave himself 'A Very Bad Shave'. He's such the metrosexual these days.

...And speaking of Chewbacca, the everpopular Wookie/Cookie Monster mash-up gets another redo in 'Cookie War'. I like the addition of a more-than-fully operational Chocolate Chip Death Star in this one.

'Space Invaded' takes minimalistic design in the opposite direction and adds an intergalactic twist! Your favorite 8bit Atari invaders have shifted into high gear to attack a town near you.

'Ninja Panda' ...like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, only, cuddlier. Everybody's Kung Fu fighting these days. Hyeee-Yah!

'Gotta Catch 'Em All'  imagines biblical folk hero, Noah, as possibly the worlds first Pokemon trapper. I choose you...um....Elephant of the Serengeti.

'The Baby's Gun' doesn't look like it should be toyed with. Love the colors and want to kill something with it! Yep...it's a keeper!

'SUPER Mario!' is a funky Dragonball Z/Super Mario Bros. mash-up. Watch out...this plumbers gone Super Saiyan!

'About to Blue' is an homage to one of the greatest comedic TV shows in the history of television...'Arrested Development'. Be careful not to blue yourself in public.

Skeletor, The Dungeon Master, Shredder, Magneto, and.....Mumm- Ra ..the eveeeeer.....liviiiiiing have aligned forces in a small way to take on the forces of good in 'Minimalist Villains'. Like?...or Hate?

And my favorite, original design this week is 'Killer in the Sky'. I'd rock the shit out this one when I go shooting birds in the park at midnight. Blam! Blam! Blam! .....caaaaw

See ya next week folks! Thursday is always tee-time!

The Bluths Are Back... You Better Get Your Netflix Accounts Right!!!

Arrested Development may very well be one of the all time best comedies to ever air on American television. Anybody who has watched the show knows this to be true. But in that statement lies the problem... Fox constantly moved the show's time slot and it never garnered the ratings that the network wanted. So it got cancelled way before it should have. Ever since it was cancelled, there have been all kinds of rumors of the return of the Bluth family: a series revival, a new network, and even a possible movie. But all of those things proved to be false... Netflix Instant is going to be the platform where we get more misadventures from this classic cast!!! Click after the jump for more details on the announcement...

Here are some blurbs from the Netflix press release:

"Netflix's bold entrance into original programming presents an exciting new opportunity for our two companies" commented Peter Levinsohn, Fox Filmed Entertainment's President of New Media & Digital Distribution. "Bringing a classic show back to production on new episodes exclusively for Netflix customers is a game changer, and illustrates the incredible potential the new digital landscape affords great content providers like Twentieth Century Fox Television and Imagine."
"We also pride ourselves on breaking the rules at this studio, and after bringing back two canceled series – 'Family Guy' and 'Futurama'—to enormous success, we are bullish on the prospects for this brilliant series. We can't wait to get back to work with Mitch, Ron and Brian on bringing the Bluths back to America's living rooms," they added.
And here is some encouraging words from producer Ron Howard:

"Of all the projects we've been involved with over the years, we probably get more questions about Mitch Hurtwitz's brilliant 'Arrested Development' than any other-- everyone, ourselves included, seems to feel like the Bluths left the party a bit too soon. Bringing a series back from cancellation almost never happens, but then, 'Arrested' always was about as unconventional as they get, so it seems totally appropriate that this show that broke the mold is smashing it to pieces once again."

Finally, thanks to the gang over at ScreenRant for the screen caps of tweets from Brian Grazer & Jason Bateman:

You can catch the full run of Arrested Development (three seasons) on Netflix Instant currently, and the new episodes of the show are proposed to start in 2013. I for one can't wait!!! I guess there really is money in that banana stand!!!!
