No Words... Just Thanks!

Bubba Ho-Tep Movie Poster by Matt Robot

This is a wonderful fan made poster from artist Matt Robot for Bubba Ho-Tep, the terrific and underrated movie starring Bruce "Evil Dead"Campbell and directed by Don "Phantasm" Coscarelli. If you haven't seen this one, make sure you check it out. Thanks to Johnny from Freddy In Space for the find.

Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil Looks Good...

... but why do I feel like I just watched the whole move after this 2:30 minute red band trailer? It seems to me like the put an awful lot of the material from the movie in this one. Check it out for yourselves:

I mean, the group of like 7-10 teens that want to get their friend back all seem to bite it in this trailer. Maybe there are even more of them in the movie? I'm not sure. This classic mix-up type movie looks to be funny & gory, so I will give it a shot. Oh, and by the way, was that dude with the dreads the teacher from The Killing on AMC? It was, wasn't it? WHO KILLED ROSIE LARSEN YOU SON OF A BITCH??? WHO DID IT??? ANSWER ME YOU PIECE OF... I mean, er, um, forget it.

The Man In Black Has A Name & It's....

I am so sorry that it took so long for me to post this Lost video, but I got sidetracked earlier in the week and completely forgot. Apparently Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse had some fun hijinks plan for the Lost: One Year Later panel at Comic Con. Continue after the jump for the rest of the hysterical panel.

***Please click Read more below to see more from Cuse & Lindelof***

Cuse came in dressed as a Stormtrooper, Lindelof as a Dharma Iniative member (point Cuse). Lindelof pleaded with Cuse to finally show the 'uneditted & unaired' scene from the Season 1 finale that would finally prove that they hadn't been making it up all along. Cuse refused saying it would "ruin the integrity of the show". Lindelof answered with a snark "Since when did you care about the integrity of the show?" (point Lindelof). The agreed to show the clip, and the rest is Re-written Lost history. Watch for yourself and prepared to have all your questions answered:

Barry? Barry? That's hysterical. Well done. A great reward for the people who waited to hear Cuse & Lindelof talk about a show they loved. Also, great job by all involved in getting this one on the 'Net for all of us who couldn't get out to San Diego. And a relly big shout out to Titus Welliver & Mark Pelligrino (Jacob & Blackie) for shooting this clip a few weeks ago as a treat for the fans. Very fun.... God I miss Lost. It's OK Jeff... something will come along.

The Red Skull Breaks Up The Union by Mr. Whaite

One of my favorite artist, Mr. Whaite, checks back in with an awesome Red Skull poster. Since Captain America was an awesome movie and Hugo Weaving was so wonderful as the Red Skull, I figured I would post this one here on CCD. Great work Mr. Whaite!!!

Freddie Wong Is Back... This Time With Jon Favreau Himself!!!

Freddie Wong makes some really great videos that he features on his Youtube page. The guy has a great team and the things they do have taken over the Internet, usually topping a few million views within a few days. This has got the attention of some big shots in Hollywood. Jon Favreau became a fan of Wong, and he decided to collaborate with the Internet entrepreneur on a 'Cowboys & Aliens' themed shoot 'em up video. It is amazing!!! Just continue after the jump to see the new video and an behind the scenes featurette as well. I really love this one. Cowboys & Aliens opens up tomorrow, so this one is right on time.

This Comic Strip About Commentors On Blogs Is So True

You The Fan Get to Pick The Official 'Twixt' Movie Poster... Go Vote!!!

The teaser poster...
One of the more intriguing stories to come out of the past Comic Con weekend was the excitement over Francis Ford Coppola's new movie, Twixt. It stars the beautiful & talented Elle Fanning (Super 8 & sister of Dakota Fanning) & one of my faves, Val Kilmer. It's a 3-D horror film with a very twisted premise, and Coppola was out in full force trying to sway the geek vote to anticipate this one. Looks like it worked, as the Internet is buzzing about this dream-like (or should I say nightmare-like) surreal film. Now the people responsible for the film are allowing the fans to pick which movie poster the film will use when they start promoting it. Check after the jump for all the details.

After the unconventional success of Kevin Smith's Red State, filmmakers are willing to take all types of chances with their movies. It seems Coppola is heading down that path as well. Coppola has talked about rolling out the film himself (ala Kevin Smith) with one night screenings and then editting the movie AFTER each screening according to audience reaction. This means that every night the movie will be different. Now that is a first... and seems like an awful ,ot of work! Also, they released 4 versions of the movie poster and will be holding a fan vote on the Twixt facebook page. Here are the choices (but you must click here to go to Facebook and vote yourself).

What do you think? Which one do you like? I am a fan of all four, but #3 is doing it for me. Right now it is in second place. If you had the power to make the final choice, which one would you go with? Tell us in the comment section below!

'I'd Buy That...As a Tee!' Vol 16 by Jeff Bond

Always on the look out for inspiring art... emblazoned across the chest of humanity. Here's some of the t-shirts I have my eye on to do just the trick but, there's only one problem....they aren't for sale yet! Please click the links below to the Threadless.com (my favoritest and most user friendly t-shirt contribution site) voting pages for each and give these beauties '5' ratings so I can throw 'em on my charge card one day.

'Pass You Shall Not' puts a more qualified wizard in charge of the depths of Mordor.

**Please click READ MORE below for more T-rific tees!**

'Speeder Flip' has a nameless imperial soldier doing his best Matt Hoffman.

'Appetite for Avenging' pairs next summers box office buster 'The Avengers' with one of the greatest rock album covers of all time.

'Spellbound'.....We'll miss you, Potter!

OooooOOOo those 'AT-Legs' ! Classy!

'Ronald McJoker' is probably my favorite this week. Heath Ledger's Joker get's a fast food make-over with a chilling result. Would you like fries with that?

'Architecture of Dreams' does Christopher Nolan's 'Inception' some justice.

Super Mario's 'coon skin retrieval creeps me the f*ck out. 'There's Something In Those Leaves' ....and, for added effect check out the artist's tag-a-long explanation notes:

"Gonna get inside that skin, you weird bear thing. Gonna get in there and your strange magic is gonna get me those coins."

The Muppets As The Crew Of Serenity

How could Captain Mal Reynolds get any cooler? Make him Kermit The Frog.

The art is the work of the very talented James Hance, who has had his work featured on our site before, and has even gotten the attention of a few of the Firefly cast members.

I gotta say my favorite has gotta be Sam The Eagle as Shepard. Brilliant.

Luke Skywalker, Candyman And Atreyu Serve Up "Sushi Girl"

Who doesn't love to see an ensemble cast of cult movie actors in a some kind of crazed, perverted, sadistic horror flick? There actually seems to be a bit of a renaissance going on with these types of films, with directors like Robert Rodriguez and Rob Zombie leading the charge, and I couldn't be happier about it.

This particular new grindhouse style movie has got one of the coolest "what the WHAT" groups of actors I've ever seen. Including...

Mark Hamill
Tony Todd
Jeff Fahey
Noah Hathaway(Mother Luvin Atreyu!)
James Duval
Michael Biehn
Sonny Chiba
and
Danny Trejo(of course)

Bad. Ass.

Sushi Girl is brought to us by first time feature Director Kern Saxton. His previous work includes a short called "Deader Living Through Chemistry," which was selected by Gerorge Romero for inclusion on the "Diary of the Dead" DVD.

It's not clear what kind of release "Sushi Girl" will receive, but I imagine we can expect a small theatrical release at best, with a big push for the DVD. I will definitely be watching the fudgeneut out of this movie.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy - Episode 9 - Cyrax & Sektor

The end is finally here!!! After a one month wait, the final episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy was released at this years Comic Con. It features Cyrax & Sektor, two characters I used to love playing as back in the day. This is by far the best of the bunch and you can see why they saved it for last. Here is my thing: If you want to premiere the video at Comic Con, that's cool. Just make sure that you time your release so week 9 hits during Comic Con. Don't release the first 8 early/weekly and then make us suffer for a month. Thanks as always to Exophrine for the tip.

Why Can't They Get Katy Perry For The Live Action Porn Version Of The Smurfs?

Jesus H Christ... Katy Perry is freaking hot!!! Check out these pics from the recent premiere for The Smurfs. Never a shy bird, Katy showed up in a barely there white Smurfette mini skirt that left little to the imagination, especially after she leaned in to pose for a picture with a fan and flashed her purty white panties to the world (see the pic after the jump). Where's the thong Katy? I was a bit disappointed. I grabbed a few key shots of Katy on the red carpet. I also am not a fan of the new blonde hairdo. Don't get me wrong, she still looks hot... but Katy is a blue eyed brunette, and thats the way I like her!!! Damn you Russell Brand....

Avengers Assembled

I remember when I first started hearing the rumors back in 2007, that the upcoming "Iron Man" movie was going to have a cameo appearance by Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, that is going to set up for an Avengers movie............Suuuuuuuuuuure. Now first, I didn't believe it, and second, even if they did include said scene, ain't no way in hell they are gunna be able pull off that kind of big plan.

But here we are, 5 movies later, and less than a year away from an unprecedented comic book movie event. Here's a look a the character posters they unveiled over the weekend at SDCC all together as one giant banner of nergasm.

Click the pic for a big version. I'll let you guess what my current wallpaper is.

Aside from a few bumps (I really wish that was Edward Norton) Marvel looks like they may actually pull this off. An ensemble comic book film, all with predefined singular experiences, helmed by Joss Whedon, one of the best ensemble and genre handlers out there today. Holy crap I say.

I have enjoyed all the movies thus far, as good, fun, "comic book movies." I am eagerly awaiting this. If it doesn't go any further after, I'm totally fine with that, because as I said, I never would have believed it would have even made it this far.

What do you guys think? If the world does end late next year.....are we good?
