The Hateful Eight: Quentin Tarantino Takes On The Prairie, Stage Coaches, And The Old West...

QT is probably one of my favorite living directors, and his last few efforts (Inglorious Bastards and Django) have done nothing but make those sentiments stronger. In a world where directors are pumping out products, directing TV pilots, and executive producing pretty much everything in the world... Tarantino does a great job of doing what he does best: developing a unique concept, writing a script filled with killer dialouge and putting together one hell of a visual picture. Quentin got a bit mad when a script for his Wagon Train old west adventure picture The Hateful Eight got leaked on line and he abandoned the picture. He said he wasn't going to make it... but just six months or so later the project has gotten new life and it seems like QT is all set for a early 2015 shoot with a Christmas 2015 release (just in time for Oscar consideration BTW). The synopsis is insane, and the first poster looks fabulous. And this cast.. are you kidding me? Bruce Dern, Walter Goggins, Sam Jackson, Mike Madsen, Tim Roth and Kurt Russell... wow. As usual, no real big name women named so far. Just Amber Tambelyn. But knowing QT he will get a career making performance out of her before he makes her a star like he did Uma, Diane Kruger and Kerri Washington before. Check out the official synopsis and full poster after the jump....

The synopsis:

The Hateful Eight follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.

CCD Presents: Geoff Cain of Black Action Tees Live From the Floor of the 2013 NY Comic Con

One of the coolest things that I purchased the whole time I was at the 2013 NY Comic Con had to be the T-Shirts I picked up over at the Black Action Tees booth. Owner Geoff Cain makes some killer t shirts, and they tend to feature the forgotten and lesser known heroes that happen to be minorities. No Superman or Batman shirts here... there are plenty of booths selling those. Black Action Tees focuses on heroes like Black Lightning, Dragonfly Jones, and Black Dynamite... and I am happy that they do! I grabbed up three shirts, the Mike Tyson, Black Lightning, and Sam Jackson Bad Mofo shirts myself. I also chatted with owner Jeff and discussed just what makes his company stand out among the others in the crowd. Geoff explains his character choices, why he caters to bigger sizes (his shirts go up to 5XL!), and much more. Click here to head on over to their website and order something now! Check out some designs after the jump as well as the full interview....

Jango Unchained by Austin Madison

I love this mash-up from artist Austin Madison. We Jango Fett instead of Django the black cowboy, sure... but that is not what I love about this one the most. I love that his victim is a bloodied Samuel L. Jackson, who played both Mace Windu & Stephen the house slave in Star Wars & Django Unchained. Love when mash-ups work on multiple levels. Great idea. Great execution. Check out more of Madison's work by clicking here, and click after the jump to see the full piece...

Samuel L.Jackson... I Love You Man!!!!!

Samuel L. Jackson has solidified himself as one of the busiest and coolest actors of a generation. he is 64 years old and has played everything from a Jedi Master to the greasiest haired hitman in the history of cinema. He is also General Nick Fury: the commanding officer of S.H.I.E.L.D., real life comic book villain Mr. Glass, and the guy who found them MOTHERFUCKING SNAKES ON THAT MOTHERFUCKING PLANE!!!! He has worn countless hairpieces & wigs, put on numerous accents, and made interrogation an artform while sprinkling in a bit of geography & religion into his line of questioning. The guy even had his own viral video reading a children's book (Go The Fuck To sleep... its great!)... so to say he could do pretty much anything is an understatement. But his role as house slave Stephen in Django Unchained may be his best yet. If it was up to me, this role would be the one that gets him the supporting actor statuette. He is uncompromising, gives his favorite director Quentin Tarantino the best performance of his career, and isn't afraid to defend the integrity of the movie itself. QT has never been afraid of using the word 'Nigger' in his movies, and when doing a press junket with Jake the Movie Guy from Houston's Fox Affliate Samuel l decided to get the lily white reporter to say the word himself. If you want to ask a question about the N word, you are going to have to say the N word yourself. The results are borderline 'Brett's Interrogation'  from Pulp Fiction, and it just goes to show you how cool Samuel L is and how deeply he believes in his work. Check the full junket out after the jump (it's 17 minutes long), or just jump to the 13:55 mark to get right to Mr. Jackson's comments. You the man Sam... now do that Gator dance and smoke that TV!!!!!! (If you get that Samuel L reference then you are my people)

Pulp Fiction: The Official Infographic by Noah Smith

Pulp Fiction is a masterpiece of a film... a true originator in the art form of flashback/flashforward story telling. It was the second time Tarantino used that flashback/flashforward format (Reservoir Dogs jumps all over as well) that we often see imitated by many other directors. While the story itself is pretty simple to put together AFTER you watch it (especially as many times as I have seen it!), the true layering of the story is pretty intricate. Cue Noah Smith, a graphic designer and self confessed Tarantino enthusiast, who wanted to create the definitive infographic to properly organize a timeline of the events in the film. The following is so amazing I can't really do it justice with words, so I will direct you to hit after the jump and check out Smith's masterpiece or you will get a visit from Jules Winfield, the Bad Motherfucker above!!!!

Christopher Walken Reads "Where The Wild Things Are" & I Promptly Faint Due To A Brain Hemorrhage From Hysterical Laughter!!!!

After last years release of  "Go The F@#k To Sleep" as read by Samuel Jackson helped elevate the book to huge sales numbers, it was only a matter of time before the parodies would start rolling in. Youtube users Randumbify  have come correct with this new video that features an actor doing a Christopher Walken impression reading "Where The Wild Things Are". Now fans of the book know that there are not to many words in the original text, but you have to hear the crazy analysis of the pictures from Walken as he breaks down his version of what is happening with Max in the pages of the story. This is the best 10 minutes I have ever spent in my life watching a Youtube clip, and it takes me back to the great Walken speeches of Pulp Fiction (He hid it in the only place he knew they wouldn't find it.... up his ass!) & True Romance (Your a cantaloupe!!!). Fantastic video... give this a watch immediately!!!!

Samuel L Jackson Tells Kids Exactly What He Wants: "Go The Fuck To Sleep!!!"

Ever since its release of the children's book 'Go The Fuck To Sleep' people have been talking about it. It's one of the highest rated books on Amazon right now and I absolutely love the originality of author Adam Mansbach. Anybody who has kids or younger siblings can relate to this book in full. Anyway, as if the book wasn't over the top itself, they have tapped Samuel L Jackson to read the audiobook!!! God, sometimes perfect pairings can come true. Here it is... 6 minutes of heaven. Here you go!

Wow... just wow. "No you can't have no fuckin' milk... Go The Fuck To Sleep!!!!". Hahahahaha.
