It's been a while since I've seen 'Woody Woodpecker' and this design brought a smile to my beak. Ha-Ha Ha Ha- Ha!

I woulda rocked the crap outta 'Shoulder Holster'  when I was a little soldier in the 80's. I'd do it now...but definitely not at airports.

Love a good Asian-on-Asian scene...and 'Ultra Mario vs. Bowsilla' does just the trick.....with a Super Mario/Godzilla mash-up! Run for your Rives!

'Bearded Dragon' holds a sexual reference within it somewhere but I just can't put my sword on it at the moment. Great beard, though.

Never a slave to fashion, Jabba the Hutt is currently on a highly regimented workout trying to impress the latest palace slave-girl in 'Fashion Victim'

Disney theme park take note: I would SO ride.....'Hi-Tech Bumper Cars'! You own the rights...you GOT this!

'Everyone's Cooler When They're Dead' Truer words have never been spoken. Some of these guys couldn't catch a break from the general public before they was dead...now they living-dead and everybody on 'em. 

I love a good Disney piece and 'Mickey Mock' is no exception. Mickey's been skinned alive and left for living-dead in this, not-so kid friendly, cartoon homage.

My favorite this week is a little 8bit number called 'Pixel Heroes' . All your favorite super heroics are represented here it their more basic of forms....though you might need to click the link to Threadless to actually see them in all their glory.

Tron: The Next Day by JediRob

'Tron: Legacy' was one of my top anticipated movies last year. After all was said and done, it wasn’t quite a life changing experience, but with such ridiculous buildup, how could it be. I did enjoy it quite a bit, though. It was pretty much what I should have expected from a Tron sequel, and it was a ton of fun. I dug the Father and Son story, loved that it was a sequel and not just a straight up remake, enjoyed the Daft Funk score (robbed of an Oscar nod) and a showdown between 2 Jeff Bridgeses?!

Come oooon! Great stuff.

This week a short film examining the time between the first and second Tron films has popped up on the webs…



This bit is apparently included on the new Blu-Ray box set that is set to release April 5th.

This set looks very impressive. It comes in a variety of versions; the one pictured being the most ridiculous. It’ll include Legacy as well as the original “Tron” in HD for the first time, after some serious shenanigans from Disney. It’s also supposed to include some deleted scenes, that have yet to sneak their way onto the internet, which may or may not be leading towards a Tron 3. Or T3ON. Or ThReeON. Or something.

Honestly part of the thrill of Legacy was the long timespan in-between the films, so unless it’s in anther 30 years I’m not dying to hop on the lightcycle again. That said I do the think the preview for the upcoming animated 'Tron: Uprising' looks promising. It also takes place between the 2 movies and features the voice of the Tronster himself, Bruce Boxleitner.



I will of course watch a sequel in a heartbeat. And if they do I can only hope that includes the return of Sci-Fi legend David “there are five lights” Warner. He was of course alluded to in the appearance of his son in the surprising Cillian Murphy cameo. And if what I hear about the deleted scenes is true, there is a strong possibility he could be back.

The Tron Lebowski... Finally!

College Humor finally makes a video that mashes up Jeff Bridges' two most well known roles: The Dude from 'The Big Lebowski' & Kevin Flynn from 'Tron'!!!! I love them both, and have featured a cool mashup poster of the two that was made in the past. But this is what I have been waiting for. Thanks again College Humor & Rob over at Topless Robot for being such a 'Tron' geek!

I can not believe it has be 25 years between the release of the first Tron and the start of filming on Tron: Legacy.... 28 years all together (by the time its released). But if The Dude abides... well, so do we.

Marvels Mightiest Heroes Get The Tron Treatment

If there is one thing that Disney knows how to do, its collaborate. It makes it a bit easier when you are collaborating in house. Last week we show you guys the Toy Story/ Tron mashup the guys from Pixar did. Now we get Disney's newest business partner, Marvel, in on the act. Check out these cool variant covers that will be hitting stores soon featuring some of the most impressive characters in the Marvel Universe. Cal ran these puppies a few days ago, and other sites started putting em up yesterday, so I just wanted to keep my CCD'ers in the loop.
