The CCD Podcast: Episode #31 - Famous Pop Culture Beasts In Honor of 'The New World Bestiary' Art Show

We here at CCD love getting behind a great idea, so when we found out that fellow compatriot and contributor to the CCD Podcast Joe Milazzo was hosting another one of his awesome art shows I knew I had to share it with all you guys... but we decided to take it ONE STEP FURTHER and do A WHOLE PODCAST EPISODE on the show's topic!!! Join Jedi Rob Martin, Joe 'Beware The Beast Man' Milazzo, and John LaMacchia as they discuss famous 'Beasts' in Pop Culture. The art show is entitled The New World Bestiary: A Compendium of Creatures Lost & Imagined, so the gang talk about which beasts will be making appearances in the show and counterparts that they have had throughout pop culture history! A very cool podcast, in lieu of a pretty cool art show. Lots of great artists in this one, including CCD's own Tommy Lombardozzi! Oh, and there will be LIVE MUSIC TOO! Disney's Mother Of Dragons by Mona Collentine

I am in full force Game of Thrones mode lately.... I have a couple of pages left in Book #3, Season 2 of the show is wrapping up next week, and I just ordered a book called "Beyond The Wall" which is a collection of essays about George R.R. Martin's seminal book series. So when I was over at my boy Jeremy Barker's Popped Culture website and I saw this awesome Daenerys mash-up featuring some of the Disney dragons (Figment, Elliot, and Maleficent) I knew I just had to post it. A to Z Blogging Challenge - Day #6 - Letter F - Fin Fang Foom

Fin Fang Foom is one of the coolest villains in the whole Marvel Universe. Not to mention that its complete bullshit that he doesn't fuck Iron Man & The Fantastic Four up every time he encounters them. This is a MOTHERFUCKING DRAGON... he gotta win every once in a blue, no? Well, this fantastic character was created in 1961 by Jack Kirby & Stan Lee and has been in and out of story lines across the board ever since. His first appearance was in 'Strange Tales' #89

Instead of featuring pictures of Fin Fang Foom from the pages of the Marvel Comics you might know him from, I am choosing to feature some Deviant Art versions instead. I hope you enjoy them... some day Foom, you will have your chance to be the boss!!!

These Sucker Punch Animated Shorts Make Me Even More Excited For Zack Snyder's New Movie

I am super excited for Zack Snyder's magnum opus Sucker Punch, which is opening on March 25th. Hot chicks in little to no clothing using guns and swords to kill dragons & nazi foot soldiers... yeah, I'm in. Snyder released these two animated shorts to provide a little background information for some of the villians the girls will be facing. Pretty awesome stuff:
