Hi-C Horror from The Holidaze Blog

The gang over at the Holidaze Blog have been having a great time mocking up Hi-C juice boxes with a horror character theme for the Halloween season. They have had series 1 and series 2 in the past, and now we have series 3 to satisfy our horrific thirst! These are really cool, and I do enjoy the cleverness of the names of the particular juices and how they relate to the specific characters assigned to them. A great way to enjoy this wonderful Halloween with a nod back to the days of the brown bag lunch. Check them all out after the jump, the Wolfman Water is my fave by a long shot!

Zombie Wedding Timelapse

I am currently planning my own wedding and meeting with all the different vendors (florists, photographers, DJs, etc) sucks balls. Then after you pick a particular vendor, these fucks expect you to pay them for their services... wtf? Anywho, I am of the opinion that if I book them to work my wedding than I will have them doing anything I want to. ANYTHING. Especially the photographer. It's good to know that I am not the only person who thinks like that. Josiah is a Geekologie reader who just had his wedding. He decided to have the photographer take a picture of him and his new bride taking on the wedding party as if they were flesh eating zombies, with the intention of taking that print and then photoshopping it into a zombie masterpiece. The results are absolutely fantastic! Check out the picture and a cool ass time lapse video of the photoshop process from Josiah himself. Great work Adam. Now if I can just get Tara to agree to posing with the wedding party like Alex Ross's Justice cover....

Skate Upton: The Coolest Tumblr You Probably Never Heard Of

A few months back I heard about a cool new Tumblr blog by the name of Skate Moss, which superimposed pictures of Kate Moss on skateboard decks. It was a pretty cool way to highlight the sexiness of Moss and appeal to the asthetics of skateboarders. Not only that, but the page was open to submissions and even provided you with both a vertical & horizontal blank decks for you to customize in Photoshop. But all things evolve... and with evolution we strive for perfection. I give you Skate Upton, which of course features CCD's favorite swimsuit model Kate Upton on skateboard decks. I didn't think they could cram all of Upton's ample curves onto a deck, but that problem was solved by some of the geniuses who created pieces by breaking an image up over multiple boards. God dam I love this girl. I really hope there is a celebrity porn tape in her future. One can wish... Check out the pics I like best after the jump....

Even Comic Book Characters Can Feel The Wrath of Pepper Spray Cop!!!

Unless you have been living under a rock you have seen images of Lt. John Pike, aka Pepper Spray Cop, just blasting a group of college students protesting peacefully with pepper spray in the face. While this is not a funny situation at all (police brutality is fucked up), the image has sparked all types of internet meme's inserting Pepper Spray Cop into everything from fine art to Disney movies. While some of these were well done, I have to say that this next group of images from Comic Alliance has to be the best of the best. They insert Pepper spray cop into the pages of some of the greatest comics in history, and it's a fitting place for such a diabolical character to occupy. Plus this set appeals to my nerd sensibility, so that's why I like it the best. Check out all the images after the jump...

Anthony Herrera, The Greatest Dad In The Galaxy...

I came across this cool ass story on a few of the websites that I read and felt it was my duty as an Awesome Blogger, Star Wars Geek, and Proud Parent to my own Star Wars fanatic to re-blog it. Anthony Herrera may be the coolest dad in the whole world for adding a Star Wars spin on his family vacation to Sequoia National Park to make his daughter happy. A year ago we took a trip to Sequoia National Park. I wanted to excite my daughter while being in such amazing surroundings. Being the Star Wars geek that I am (so is she), I told her that this is where the Ewoks live. She spent a good chuck of our time hiking keeping a lookout for any Ewoks. Coming home I can't say that she wasn't disappointed that we didn't find any. I had to explain that they are extremely shy and hardly ever let anyone see them. After we got home, and after I had a little time alone with the photos, I told her I thought I saw something strange in a few pictures. We viewed them on the TV to get a larger image. You can imagine how surprised and excited she was when we discovered that we didn't see any Ewoks, but they saw us, and had certainly taken an interest in her and her little brother. Maybe I'm a little wrong for lying to her and falsifying the pictures, but I don't care. She'll never forget the time she spent in the big woods with Ewoks.
