Springfield Becomes Westeros, Burns Is King... Just Another Opening Scene On The Simpsons!!!

Can a homage get any better than this? Matt Groening and the crew over at The Simpson's used their opening credits to pay an homage to the HBO show "Game of Thrones" by recreating the map of Westeros used to introduce the HBO show, but subbing in Springfield's geography instead. This works so well, and you have to love Mr. Burns as Robert Baratheon... Check out the original Game of Thrones opening as well as   the Simpsons homage after the jump...

In anticipation for the upcoming return of Mad Men, digital artist Dann Matthews created a cool montage of the opening credits featuring a certain Sith Lord who may be joining the firm as a new partner. I hear he is a tough cookie in the board room and the ladies love his smooth, black helmet.
