10 Little Known Facts About Marvel Comics....

I am sucker for these "10 ___ Things..." lists that populate the Internet and have caused me to lose days of my life watching them 3 minutes at a time. On Geeks Are Sexy Technology I came across an excellent video (or at least what I had hoped would be a excellent video) called '10 Little Known Facts About The Marvel Universe' that I just had to watch. The vicious cycle had begun once again, and boy am I glad for it. As a comic geek I love to come across fun little tidbits about the characters that I adore. Out of this Top 10, I may have known 4 or 5 of them (the ones that are related in the pages of comics and about Hulk's color) but there were some really great facts that were unknown to me. Casper and Ghost Rider in a crossover? Get the fuck outta here. Cap taking on two... TWO Presidents of the United States? An artist that died young and had his ashes mixed with the graphic novel reproduction of his most famous series? This is a great way for any comic fan to spend 3 minutes. This Voltron Cosplay Is The Truth....

I came across this unreal cosplay project over at Geeks Are Sexy that features one of the most intense and intricate pieces of Cosplay ever created and executed. Voltron was probably my favorite 80s cartoon, even higher on the list than He-Man, G.I. Joe, or Thundercats. But given the fact that Voltron is a 100 story robot, the chances of him being the subject of cosplay is usually not an option. But size did not stop this talented group of cosplayers as they created 5 individual lions that all could be assembled to form a complete Voltron robot. Holy. Fucking .Shit. That Guy Ray Bradbury Seemed To Know What He Was Talking About When he Was Writing Science "Fiction"

Ray Bradbury passed away last week and I am a dick because I never took a second to pay him proper tribute. Bradbury is responsible for a litany of literary classics, most notably in the Sci Fi genre. His best known works would probably be The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, and one of my all time favorite books Fahrenheit 451. But after he passed away, lots of other more responsible/respectable sites (we suck here at CCD...sorry!!!) ran cool stories in tribute to Mr. Bradbury. One of the best ones that I saw had to an infographic of all the predictions that Ray Bradbury made in his books that ended up coming true in real life. In sci fi people take chances when they "predict" what technology will come in the future, but it seems like my man Ray had much more than a hope when constructing his ideas of what technology in the future would look like.
