Mondo Does It Again... This Time With A LP and Poster For Nacho Vigalando's 'Timecrimes'

Mondo has built a solid reputation for creating cool collectibles and enjoying monster team ups with some of the best properties in the world. So when they do something cool, it is not really that shocking... but yet they continue to outdo themselves with every email announcing their next collaboration. Last month it was their Duck Tales the Videogame posters (we previewed them here), and now they have done it again. They are highlighting the awesomeness of Nacho Vigalando's Timecrimes, one of the greatest time travel movies I have ever seen. This underrated and not-seen-nearly-enough film is one of the greatest gems I have ever discovered on Netflix Instant (stream it now!). Now Mondo is upping the cool quotient of this film by releasing a vinyl LP (I know a bunch of kids are like "WTF is that???") of the soundtrack that was put together by Eugenio Mira. The artwork of the LP cover (interior fold out and exteriors covers) provided by We Buy Your Kids. They have also created a poster (duh... it's Mondo) based on the artwork of the record. Both will be announced for sale on Mondo's Twitter account today (Friday, Sept. 27th) at some random time... so click here and follow them to get the alert if you want to own this piece of vinyl or the poster. Nolan's Batman Trilogy Gets Posterized by Florey

Artist Florey has created a set of spectacular posters in honor of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and I really like them... a lot!!! I love the softness of the images and the muted color palette that Florey employs with each one of these posters. My favorite of the bunch is Batman Begins, because it prominently features The Scarecrow (the best character in all three movies as far as I am concerned). Symbolic Movie Posters by Rocco Malatesta

I came across artist Rocco Malatesta's work over at Super Punch when they featured his killer Reservoir Dogs poster and had to delve a bit deeper to see what his work was all about. I was blown away when I saw what he had to offer for sale on his page. He has some great pieces, especially his hand collection (you will know what I am talking about when you see it on his page) and countless other symbolic movie posters that he has on the page. Rocco takes one key element of the movie and then compliments it with small unique touches that make each one quite unique and dope in their own right. Dr. Mierzwiak Takes On Movie Posters With His Own Unique Style

I come across many artists who ply their wares on the Net, but the thing I love to do most is to then visit the artist's particular personal page and see what else they got cooking. After seeing Dr. Mierzwiak's cool ass Avengers poster over at /Film, I decided to see what else the dude had to offer. I stumbled over to his Deviant Art page and found a treasure trove of film posters that are phenomenal. More 2012 Comic Con Exclusives From Gallery 1988

As we sit on the precipice of San Diego Comic Con one more time, I am getting more and more aggravated by the amazing exclusives that are being offered to con goers. Getting in on the act next is Gallery 1988, the Cali based art mecca who constantly pushes the envelope with their awesome shows monthly. They have tapped artists New Flesh & Mark Englert to produce posters for two of the 80s best Sci Fi movies. New Flesh has created a poster based on The Last Starfighter (a truly underrated movie that most 80s babies like me adore) & Englert created a killer Aliens poster that features the scene when the Xenomorph is expelled by Ripley into space. Both of these poster are of very limited quantity & are only available at the con. Stop bye Gallery 1988 at booth #405. They also have other artists and exclusives appearing, so check them out. Mondo Lends John Carter A Bit Of Credibility, And They Do It In True Cool Poster Fashion

March 9th. What a great day. Not only will I be celebrating the life of the greatest rapper of all time who died way to soon (R.I.P. Biggie!), but I will finally get to see Edgar Rice Burrough's classic Barsoom series on the big screen!!! Given that this is the characters 100 year anniversary and that these stories featuring John Carter are the building blocks for movies like Star Wars, Alien, and Avatar... Well, quite frankly ITS ABOUT TIME!!! In order to commemorate the event Mondo has teamed up with artist JC Richards to produce a poster for the event, but unlike most Mondo prints this one will not be on sale in a quick run... it will be GIVEN away at select IMAX screenings of the film. This poster is just stunning, and it really captures the vastness of the Barsoom world that I am hoping to see in Andrew Stanton's film. Now I am really in. Adam James Takes On The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings Saga With Great Success

Lots of artists take the time to re-design movie posters for classic films. This is nothing new, especially on the Internet. But when an artist knocks out a killer minimalistic take on something as epic as Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy and the throws in a Hobbit poster just for good measure... well, they should be commended. Film Posters From Around The World #6- Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn

This one of my childhood favorites.... a true classic. These are the kind of results that you get when you give a genius like Sam Raimi enough money to fund his vision. I love Evil Dead I, but Evil Dead 2 is better because they had better funding to get it done. Enjoy!!!
