The Students & Faculty of Monsters University Get Their I.D. Cards

Monsters University is the upcoming prequel from Pixar to their classic Monsters Inc. In the new film we take a look back to where best friend monsters Mike & Sully first became acquainted with each other... college of course!!! I really like the idea that is being put forth in this sequel and it is great to see where this friendship began and what their relationship is built on. I am also looking forward to seeing some familiar faces from the grown up monsters of the first movie back in their college days as well... and how great will it be to see the Monster staff & faculty? It will all unfold on June 21st, but to hold you over check out some cool I.D. cards after the jump....

Bates Motel: Once You Check In... Well, You Might Get Murdered By A Serial Killer In Training!!!!

A & E is not really a network you think about when it comes to original dramas. They have tons of successful reality shows (Duck Dynasty is the shit!) and have had some pretty good shows in the past (The Glades comes to mind), yet they have not been known to be the hotbed of activity for current dramatic programming. But when they read the spec scripts for Bates Motel, the new television prequel show from Carlton 'Lost' Cuse & Kerry 'Friday Night Lights' Ehrin that highlights the lives of Norman & Norma Bates before the events of Hitchcock's Psycho, they skipped right over the pilot phase and ordered a ten episode first season. They also got a killer cast, with Freddie Highmore & Vera Farmiga (two boanfide movie stars) starring as Norman & Norma, the craziest mother & son combo of all time. I am intrigued, and to be honest with you I love these types of hard boiled dramas that seem to be coming to TV more and more (Banshee comes to mind as another new one like this). It is also interesting that A & E wants to get in on the current Horror show trend. After the jump you can see the promo posters for the show and the first trailer. Check Out The Promo Posters You Never Saw From 'Kick Ass'

'Kick Ass' is such a wonderful adventure of a movie... basically it is the kind of movie that you watch and say "I can't believe they got away with making this crazy fucking movie!!!". The level of violence, inappropriate situations for the teenage characters, and especially Chloe Moretz's 12 year old bad ass Hit Girl... they are all things that could kill a movie before it starts. Yet they got it done, and it is glorious. So now that they are talking about 'Kick Ass 2', some older promo materials is starting to see the light of day. Check out these four posters that feature Kick Ass, Hit Girl, Big Daddy, and Red Mist. These are pretty cool, showing both the costumed & human side of each characters. And if you are going to make a Kick Ass 2, you must get Moretz back and there must be some flashbacks featuring Big Daddy (Nic Cage FTW!!!). The posters are after the jump...

So These Are The Character Posters For 'The Expendables 2'... ALL 12 OF THEM!!!

'The Expendables' was an excellent foray into the action genre, mainly because it featured a plethora of older action stars coming together to make a kick ass film. Since it was so much fun, highly regarded by both fans & critics alike, and made crazy cash... well,it was only a matter of time before a sequel was shot. Director Simon West did just that, and in just two short summers we have 'Expendables 2'. Not only are the mainstays from the original back (Sly, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Arnie, etc), they have added some powerhouse action stars of the past (Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme) & some new bloods (Liam Hemsworth, Yu Nan) as well. It's gonna be epic... a great way to close out the Summer of 2012 movie season when it comes out on August 17th. Catch ALL 12 character posters after the jump....

The Many Colors Of The DC Lanterns Explained

The Lantern Saga has been an ongoing story line for the past couple of years in DC Comics. It is one of the only titles that has not been affected by the new DC 52 relaunch (I think) and has produced some really cool arcs such as The Sinestro Wars, Brightest Day, and Darkest Night. Winter Is Coming... On April 1st!!!

I am completely enthralled with the world of Westeros right now. George R.R. Martin's book series "A Song Of Ice & Fire" is one of the most complex and exciting books I have ever read. The 1st season was amazing, an on April 1st the Starks, Lannisters, and the rest are back on Sunday nights to further the storyline a bit more for all of you out there who haven't read the fantastic books.
