Artin' It Up - 2013 All Horror Week Edition - Day #2
As All Horror Week rolls on, we check back in with our good buddy Tommy Lombardozzi and the awesome original art pieces he has done for the 2013 All Horror Week here on CCD. Today we get a creepy ass rendition of Pennywise the Clown from Stephen King's 'It'. Obviously this portrayal is influenced by the way the character was portrayed in the TV miniseries by Tim Curry. I have been discussing the merits of the now over 20 year old mini series with some friends and find that the view on 'It' can be polarizing. Some, like me, still feel the psychological effects that the movie had on me as a kid so long ago. Others dismiss the 20 year old series as dated and not very scary at all. One thing is certain: The book is freaky as fuck, and holds up as scary even after all these years! Tommy created his version of Pennywise in an 8 x 10 format with pen, marker and then finished with digital coloring. Another great piece in his 2013 All Horror Week Collection! Check out the full piece after the jump, and make sure you stay tuned the next few days for more to come...
