The CCD Podcast: Episode #90 - Deadpool - 25 Years of The Merc With A Mouth

Some people like to shit on Rob Liefeld... they make fun of his comics, say he can't draw, say he can't write... but he is still in the game, And one of the reasons that is has to be a little character he brought to life 25 years ago by the name of Deadpool. Sure... he is a rip off of Deathstroke from DC Comics. So? Sure.... he has a lot of powers in common with Wolverine. So? Sure he looks like Spider-man with a couple of katanas. So? Deadpool is amazingly the single most popular character in Marvel's current stable, and now he is FINALLY getting brought to life on the big screen by Ryan Reynolds! But in true CCD fashion we have decided not only to chat up the film (it was AWESOME!) but talk about the history of this improbable star from his first appearance in New Mutants #98 to his massive box office success...

The CCD Podcast: Episode #89 - The Best Football Movies Ever

There is something about Football movies that separates them from all sports movies in general. The raw carnage of the games... the depth of the team dynamic... maybe the dichotomy of the warrior on the field vs. the normal human being off it... whatever it is, it makes Football movies unique. With the 2016 Super Bowl past us, we decided this would be a great time to delve deep into the world of the USA's most popular sport and see which films hold up through the years. Join Jedi Rob, filmmaker Leland James and Mike D as they do there best to remember all the great football films in cinema history!

The CCD Podcast: Episode #88 - The Final Curtain at The Ziegfeld Theater & The Force Awakens With The O.G. Three!

When it comes to Star Wars, great things come in 3s. The original trilogy consists of THREE classic films... The main triumvirate of characters are Luke/Leia/Han... In the prequels there were 3 awesome bad guys (Dooku/Grievous/Darth Sidious) at once... R2, C3-PO and Chewy are the 3 best supporting characters one could ever have... The greatest film in the series (EMPIRE STRIKES BACK) has three words in its title... I could go on and on if need be, but trust me when I say that 3s are significant to the whole Star Wars series. So it is only fitting that the ORIGINAL THREE podcasters who started the CCD Podacst reunited to discuss their takes on The Force Awakens... and we even attended the last EVER screening at the historic Ziegfeld Theater in NYC to make the experience even that more special. So join the OG Three (Jedi Rob, Mike D and Jeff 'JB Smoove' Bond as we break down the dopest movie in the galaxy one last time!

The CCD Podcast: Episode #87 - Ultimate Ski Party Movies To Watch When Being Hit With The Blizzard of the Century!

With NYC trying to recover from one of the worst winter storms in recent history (Jonas was no joke!) the CCD gang decided that this would be a wonderful time to revisit a classic sub-genre of film: The SKI MOVIE!!! The raucous nonsense, unexplainable nudity, and crazy rad ski moves make all of these films an intricate part of children of the 80s/90s lives forever. After the recent renaissance they had on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and the mountains of snow outside of the CCD.NYC Nerd Cave we thought this was the perfect week to talk about 'em... so grab your poles and we will see you on the slopes!

Already Missing 'Making a Murderer'? Hopefully These Memes Will Satisfy Your Appetite....

Making a Murderer on Netflix is literally ruining my life. I am OBSSESSED with the latest "Netflix & Chill" binge-worthy show and  I am not ashamed to say it. Them boys over at the Red Envelope have truly hit a homer with this one... and as soon as I was done I was pacing, thinking about when the next round of material in this new obsession would be coming my way! Since the first season just dropped on Dec 18th, I am assuming it might be a while before we see Lieutenant Lenk and his band of blood planting buffoons terrorize the Avery family again... so I turned to the Internet for an answer.
