Faux Figures For The Seasons By The Minion Factory

Canadian Phil Postma has a gift for creating products that never existed but SHOULD have. This is an older set but one that would be a huge seller in certain circles. Check out his website below for some great conceptual art.

It's a BLAST FROM THE PAST with the Fisher-Price adventure people. Some of you might remember these from your childhood but probably don't remember them being so bloody gory. That is my fault, this mash-up just popped into my brain one afternoon and I just had to make them. It is a literally my youth mashed together with toys I have played with as a kid and my love of the horror movies from teen years.
I also chopped up some Backgrounds from "Scoody-doo: Mystery Incorporated" and put them in the illustration to make my drawings look better since My BG skills are lacking. And before anybody asks, they are done entirely in Photoshop and are not real custom figures.
Enjoy!

Postma Does The Amazing Spider-Ham - The Heores and the Villains

There are few characters that hold as special a place in my heart as Peter Porker, The Spectacular Spider Ham. The mock character made his first appearance back in 1983 and I remember the first day I saw an issue featuring the cartoon pig on the cover. I was like 4 or 5, totally emerged in comic books, and the idea that they could morph a classic character such as Spider Man into something fun and interesting appealed to me greatly. Over the years I have read many of the stories that featured the world of Peter Porker... but when I saw what artist Phil Postma did with the character in his unique artistic way, I was completely blown away. Here is a gallery of his work on the characters from that universe. The heroes, the villains and Peter Porker himself. Brings back great memories... check them out after the jump....

Postma Does The Ghostbusters

Once again Canadian artist Phil Postma finds a fresh and unique project to put his own personal design twist on them. This time he takes on iconic movie posters of the eighties and gives them a Ghostbuster theme - perfect for Halloween. And perfect for this years All Horror Week on CCD. Postma never disappoints, but these are on another level. Check them out after the jump...

The COBRA FILES By Postma

Once again Phil Postma nails the characters and adds that little bit extra by drawing these ones as action figure backing cards. Done is a style that would attract ANY age collector to the toys (which would also be wildly successful if created from these designs) he get's right to what makes the GI JOE Universe so great. It's all the characters and the balance of good and evil. Plus no one dies or can hit anything they are aiming at. Sure Cobra Commander is an idiot but he looks great. I guess the two aren't mutually exclusive, Check em out after the jump....

What a great mix of lunatics. You would think that by putting their evil little minds together they could come up with something REALLY EVIL to do to the world and actually SEE the whole thing to completion and success. I know that it's not fun if the bad guys win but I would have liked to see it happen just ONCE, even in a fantasy dream sequence. They ALMOST had a win with Serpentor but Cobra Commander became a jealous whiney baby and messed up the whole plan. He can't even take the win if he can't also have all the credit. Now THAT is my kind of crazy.
