'Bullet To The Head' Trailer: Looks Like Sly Still Got The Moves

I came across the trailer for Walter Hill's newest movie 'Bullet To The Head', which stars Sylvester Stallone. I love me some Walter Hill (Last Man Standing, The Warriors, etc), and this being a graphic novel adaption automatically lands it on my comic book geek radar. But the real draw here has to be Stallone and how good my man looks at a spry 66 years old. He is moving around, fucking people up, and looking surprisingly fit doing it. The supporting cast in this one also looks good , with Christian Slater, Jason Momoa and Sung Kang (Fast & the Furious movies) along for the ride. But the highlight has to be Sarah Shahi, who plays Sly's daughter. My god she is fantastic... I can see an OHC of the Day coming soon!!! Check out the trailer after the jump...

The New Conan Reboot Gets Some Posters... What Do You Guys Think?

Here are some of the specific character posters for the upcoming Conan the Barbarian reboot. These feature Jason Momoa as Conan, Rachel Nichols as Tamara, Rose McGowan as Marique, Stephen Lang as Khalar Zym, and Ron Pearlman as Corin. They look pretty good, despite the fact that the footage I have seen so far has not impressed me at all. But then again, James Earl Jones's head did deflate and melt in one of the older Conan's, so it is not like the effects bar was ever all that high (Admit it. I love the old ones two, but calling them fantastic visually would be a farce.). We shall find out on August 19th.

Conan The Rebootian by Rob Martin

Seems we’ll never get that 3rd Conan movie. The 2nd one leaves much to be desired, but that first one is true badassery. Who doesn’t love Arnold in the role? It was rumored for a while in the late 80’s as 'Conan The Conqueror', but that fell apart and later got repackaged as a Kevin Sorbo vehicle 'Kull The Conqueror'. The there were rumors abound in the early 2000’s that the Wachowski Bros. were to take it on as 'King Conan: Crown of Iron'. HOLY CRAP that sounded cool, but alas.


So we now have the inevitable reboot. Starring a former 'Baywatch' hunk (did I just say the word hunk)…

Not much to be seen here to really judge but, just from a teaser standpoint that was pretty lame. The VO, the smoke and of course the 3-D tag at the end. Blech!

Needless to say, not that excited for this one. Jason Momoa just doesn’t feel right, and it’s not really anything against him. He’s also starring in the upcoming 'Game of Thrones' adaptation on HBO as Khal Drogo, and I think he looks great there. But I don’t know, maybe I just love me some Arnold too too much. (no such thing!)

The movie also stars Ron Perlman, who we of course love, Stephen Lang from 'Avatar' and Rose McGowan. Who also may or may not be in a 'Red Sonja' movie, but she’s not playing her in this movie…I don’t know.

I would much rather see this as a feature…
