All The 'American Horror Story: Coven' Short Teasers In One Post To Fully Freak You Out...

One of the things that I always loved about American Horror Story has been the advertising strategy that they have taken when promoting a new season of the show. They use short, concise and progressively weird clips to build momentum towards the shows premiere. Couple those clips with the weird ass music of the show and the creepy factor gets dialed up to 20... And for season 3, Coven, things are no different. First off, they chose one of the greatest songs ever (House of the Rising Son by The Animals) and re-record in a slow downed fashion with a sultry chick singer. Than they set the story in New Orleans. Then they rally up a varying number of women to be part of said Coven, ranging from series vets like Taissa Farmiga, Jamie Brewer, and Jessica Lange. Then  you add in new cast members like Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts and Gabourey Sidibe to the mix. I mean, can you really have a more talented and diverse cast of ladies on board? To finish off the promotional masterpieces they come up with 30 second shorts that are weirder and weirder than the actual show itself, which is no small feat. The result? There Has Never Been A Horror Themed TV Show Quite Like 'In The Flesh'

Horror themed TV shows have been taking over the airwaves for the past few years. The Walking Dead is one of the highest rated shows on any network. The Following, Grimm, True Blood, Being Human, and Supernatural are all similarly based in the world of horror and macabre. But none of these shows have the crazy ass premise of BBC Three's newest series, 'In The Flesh'. The show revolves around Kiernan, a teenage boy who had succumbed to the zombie plague spreading throughout England. The key word in that sentence is HAD SUCCUMBED... as in he has be cured. The government has figured out how to cure people infected by the plague, and after applying the cure and reconditioning the subject they are about to be re-entered into society. But there is only one problem... while the cure does work, it is not without its side effects. Kieran has flashbacks to the horrors that occurred when he was a flesh eater, and his looks aren't exactly what they were back before his infection. This is a very bold undertaking and a fresh perspective on the zombie genre that I am really eager to see played out. The show begins airing on March 17th, so set your DVRs. Girls: The Horror Movie

I love re-cut trailers, especially ones that take footage from something that is comedic and highlights the dark moments in the show with scary type music to spin it as horror. One of the funniest I have seen in a while has to be the re-cut of Girls, the HBO hit comedy from the mind of Lena Duhnam. I marathoned the show recently and watched the first show of season 2, and I love it. So to see what I think is a very funny show turned into horror, I gotta take a step back and recognize genius when I am viewing it. Check out the trailer after the jump...
