BBC's Newest Show, 'Atlantis' Combines Heroes Of Mythology Into One Hell Of An Action Packed Cocktail...

Three Greek legends walk into a bar... yup, that could be the tagline for BBC's newest TV show, Atlantis. There is a young, strapping hero named Jason (of the Argonauts fame) that seems to constantly be on the wrong side of authority. A nerdy philosopher type in Pythagoras, who is the antithesis of Jason physically but seems to be the brains of the operation. And finally we have an aging Hercules, played by Robert Baratheon himself (Mark Addy!) and still kicking ass despite losing his hair. What kind of hi jinks do these three unusual mix of friends plan to get into? We shall see this fall. Check out the first trailer after the jump that introduces you to the boys and gives a glimpse into what shall come this Autumn. It does feel a bit cheesy, but considering BBC's recent track record with genre television I for one will give it a chance...

There Has Never Been A Horror Themed TV Show Quite Like 'In The Flesh'

Horror themed TV shows have been taking over the airwaves for the past few years. The Walking Dead is one of the highest rated shows on any network. The Following, Grimm, True Blood, Being Human, and Supernatural are all similarly based in the world of horror and macabre. But none of these shows have the crazy ass premise of BBC Three's newest series, 'In The Flesh'. The show revolves around Kiernan, a teenage boy who had succumbed to the zombie plague spreading throughout England. The key word in that sentence is HAD SUCCUMBED... as in he has be cured. The government has figured out how to cure people infected by the plague, and after applying the cure and reconditioning the subject they are about to be re-entered into society. But there is only one problem... while the cure does work, it is not without its side effects. Kieran has flashbacks to the horrors that occurred when he was a flesh eater, and his looks aren't exactly what they were back before his infection. This is a very bold undertaking and a fresh perspective on the zombie genre that I am really eager to see played out. The show begins airing on March 17th, so set your DVRs. OHC of the Day: Jenna-Louise Coleman

If one wanted to become an It-Girl in the entertainment world right now then the best thing to do is get your geek cred up. Get in a super hero movie, on a sci fi themed show, or something like that. For todays Obscure Hot Chick of the Day Jenna-Louise Coleman the answer was simple: How about doing both!!! Jenna was seen in a small part in last years Avengers lead up Captain America: The First Avenger (she was Bucky's date in the beginning scene at The World Fair) and is all set to begin the role as the good Doctors newest companion Oswin Oswald on the Seventh Season of Doctor Who. She has big shoes to fill when it comes to being the Doctors companion... Amy Pond & Rose Tyler (Karen Gilliam & Billie Piper in real life) were both iconic sci fi TV women characters, and they were quite sexy as well. I think Coleman can do both, especially the sexy part. Those eyes... wow, those are the eyes of a star. Due to the crossover popularity of Doctor Who in both England & America I am sure that when her run on the show is over she will move on to bigger and better things... for now, the adventures traveling time & space await. Not bad for the chick who dates Robb Stark (Richard Madden) in real life. Now if she could only steer him away from The Twins and that damn wedding (wink, wink for all you Game of Thrones readers out there). check out the pics after the jump...

The Doctor Is Back... And I Have The Posters From The BBC To Prove It!!!!!

With the upcoming series 7 premiere of Doctor Who about to hit the airwaves this weekend (Sept 1st), BBC has released posters for the 5 episodes that will air in the first part of this season. That will take us to a break and another trusty Christmas Special, with the second half of the season coming back in 2013. The posters offer some clues as to what to expect from the upcoming adventures of the Doctor as well as Rory & the salacious Amy Pond, who I absolutely want to shag the police girl uniform off of (My fellow Whovians now just what outfit I am talking about!!!!). These episodes also mark the departure of Amy & rory... and boy am I sad to see Sexy Red go. If you are a bit behind, you can catch up on all 6 seasosn of Doctor Who on Netflix Instant. OHC of the Day: Lucy Griffinths

Lucy Griffinths is the quintessential OHC candidate. OHC stands for Obscure Hot Chick, and Lucy is just that. It is not that she hasn't been working... oh that is not the case. She has had featured roles in two prominent British mini series (The Little House & Collision)  as well as a starring turn in the BBC's most recent production of Robin Hood. She is Maid Marian on the show, and she is a sexy bad ass that compliments Robin very well. For those of you who have never seen the series, go search it out. It is one of the better Robin Hoods ever. But all the Obscure stuff that exists about her stateside is about to go right out the window, as she is set to be the most notorious newcomer on Season 5 of True Blood. She is set to play Nora, a vampire on the show. But it is the character of Nora that will elevate her to stardom, because of two reasons: 1) The character was not from the books, she is made up for the show. This will probably cause a stir among fans. 2) The character will be the sister of Eric Northman (fan fave Alexander Skarsgard), so if she is on screen with the big viking she will sure to get some shine. It doesn't hurt that she is pretty beautiful with some of the best eyes I have ever seen. You may not know her yet, but you will real soon....
