Well, all good things have to come to an end... and a complete Planet of the Apes retrospective is no exception. 'Jedi' Rob Martin, Jeff 'Baby Milo' Bond, and Joe 'Rock n Roll Ape' Milazzo have spent Episodes #8 and #9 of the CCD podcast looking back at the whole franchise, and the full retrospective concludes in Episode #11 (after the jump). In this one the gang looks back at the Planet of the Apes live action TV show, the cartoon series, the Marvel comic books of the 70s/80s, Tim Burton's failed reboot version of a film, and the 2011 masterpiece that revitalized the franchise, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. They also talk about what their hopes and expectations are for the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (out this Friday, July 11th) and also propose some interesting personal theories about the timelines of all the films and if they all exist in the same continuity. It is Ape-tastic!!! Also we feature some amazing Tommy Lombardozzi artwork of the classic apes we all know and love, another Jedi Rob photoshopped movie poster, as well as the trippy introduction to the cartoon series that Rob discusses in this episode. It is by far the biggest, most packed episode of the retrospective... and the culmination of this great 3 episode arc! Enjoy all the content after the jump...
First up, Rob's movie poster masterpiece featuring an all new cast!!!
