Voice Acting has become a huge way for actors to make money. What used to be a niche market and a side gig for celebs has quickly become a guaranteed money maker. And with the success of animated films due to Pixar and Dreamworks (they make cash money baby!) lots of celebs are getting bigger checks for these roles as well. So the A listers are making their way to these roles. The same can be said for TV. While back in the day many "FILM" actors would never take a TV role.... now it seems these "FILM" actors are dying to book a reoccurring series. So it gets even cooler when these actors and actresses decide to make public appearances as these characters. Just a little cherry on top for all the fans who love them in these roles. Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay have had great success throughout their careers together. 'Step Brothers', 'Talledega Nights', 'AnchorMan' 1 & 2... these guys make magic when they work together. But like any successful guys in Hollywood, once they get a few hits under their belts, they have formed their own company (Gary Sanchez Productions) to create their own projects from the ground up. The first project of the Gary Sanchez's company is going to be 'Manimal'. Yes, 'Manimal'! The cheesy 80's TV show in which a guy who was raised 'in the mysterious wilds of Africa' has the powers to transform into animals to fight crime. Yup, I already want to see this movie. But when you add in the partnership they entered into with Sony Pictures Animation it gets even better. Yup, the movie will be a triple threat, sporting sequences of live action, animation and a combo of both ala Roger Rabbit. No exact word on who will be in the film or will be directing it, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the usual suspects turn up. I would love to see Farrell as Dr. Johnathan Chase... but I would equally enjoy Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell or John C Reilly or anyone else affiliated with past Ferrell projects in the role as well. Sony Animation has a pretty packed slate in the upcoming years ('Hotel Transylvania 2', full on animated Smurfs movie, a Popeye and Medusa flick as well) so it may be a few years before this comes out... I am guessing 2017-ish. But take one look at the clip from the show that is embedded after the jump and you will be anticipating it just as much as I am...

I am eagerly on the edge of my seat awaiting 'The Campaign'. It is my sleeper summer hit, my 'Scott Pilgrim' of two years ago & my 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' from last year... movies that should be great, look great, but aren't hyped up as much as the big popcorn flicks of the summer. Getting a comedy featuring Zach Galifiianakis & Will Ferrell in which they are battling each other in a hotly contested political race? Yup... I am in. To promote the movie Will & Zach are acting completely like themselves and taking on children in a mock debate over at Funny or Die. Once again Funny or Die does not disappoint!!! Anchorman may very will be one of the funniest movies ever made, and it is definitively one of Will Ferrell most memorable performances. Even people who are not the biggest Ferrell fans find something likeable in the laugh fest that is Anchorman. The supporting cast (Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell, Christina Applegate, cameos by Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Ben Stiller, etc...) is superb and the quotable lines are way to many to list here. But for the past 5 years we have been teased at the possibility of a sequel to no avail, as Paramount has balked at the sequel plans for quite sometime. But a certain Jazz flute playing newscaster showed up on Conan the other night and dropped a bombshell... as well as some witty comments and insults directed towards Conan. One of my favorite blogs on the net is Filmdrunk. Vince and the gang write some of the wittiest commentaries on films and pop culture that you will ever read. These guys are wonderful. One of the things they often score major points with is creating video montages. Oliver Noble is the man who comes up with some great stuff. I find this amazing, but Robert Duvall has got to be the biggest douche dad ever. The above featured performance, plus his teatherball abuse of Will Ferrell in Kicking and Screaming and his son loathing role in Four Christmases clearly put him ahead of everybody else. But Ollie did get a God forsaking Jesus reference there... that's gotta be hard to top, no??? Are they missing anybody? Tell us in the comment section below and we will pass the suggestions along.
