The Movies Of Stanley Kubrick

Of all of these, my favorites are Dr. Strangelove and the first half of Full Metal Jacket.  I have to admit that I have never seen The Shining and got through about ten minutes of Eyes Wide Shut. Clockwork Orange freaks the hell out of me still but so did the novel it's based on. Barry Lyndon did nothing for me because I always have hated Ryan O'Neil. 2001? I hate to say I needed to see 2010 to fully get what was going on which made A Space Odyssey so much more enjoyable to watch the second or third time around.

I love me some Stanley Kubrick... who can argue that he is one of the best directors of all time? A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket.... the list goes on and on! But before Private Pyle could blow away the drill sergeant or Alex could be cured of his ultra violence, Stanley was filming a 16 minute short film for Look Magazine about a boxing match between Walter Cartier & Bobby James. Enter Alvaro Arteaga and his spin on every bodies favorite turtle crushing plumber from Brooklyn. Alvaro decided to put Mario on the top of a bullet bomb in the style of the famous scene from the Stanley Kubrick classic Dr. Strangelove, made famous by the one and only Slim Pickens.
