Lorraine Warren, Ghost Hunter
I was taken aback with just how good 'The Conjuring' actually was. It was on my list of my most anticipated movies of 2013 and definitely earned that spot. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson brought real life paranormal investigators the Warrens to life on the big screen in a way that made you root for them the whole movie. What a great portrayal of two real people... even though the story is SUPPOSEDLY based on real events, there is no disputing the fact that the Warrens were real people and Farmiga/Wilson did them some justice. But watching the movie and reading up on it a bit made me wonder just what this supernatural super team was all about in real life. I plan on grabbing a few of their books and contemplated making a trip to their Connecticut home (where they created a supernatural museum of all the artifacts they have gathered). But what were these people actually like? Ed Warren passed away a few years back, but Leslie Warren is still ticking at 86 and was very active in developing the film. She also did a lot of press with director James Wan and I came across a clip that shows you just what the tough little lady is all about. It makes you want to see more of her... and it makes me appreciate Farmiga's portrayal of her that much more. If you like true haunted house/horror stories, 'The Conjuring' is for you. Check out the video after the jump to see what Leslie Warren is really all about in the flesh....
